Volkswagen Car-Net Apps 2021 Features:
VW Car-Net® app. Lock or unlock your doors, remote honk and flash your vehicle, check to see if you have enough fuel for your morning drive, or remote start your engine (if vehicle is equipped) to warm up the car. Can’t remember where you parked? Ask Siri to find it, “Hey Siri, where is my VW?” and a handy little map will show your last parked location. Keep tabs on your car when someone else is driving with speeds alerts, curfew alerts, valet alerts and boundary alerts. This latest app version includes NEW features for Model Year 2020 vehicles: anti-theft alerts, DriveView score (with acceptance of terms) and remote start (if equipped).
The following features are exclusive to the e-Golf (except MY2020): View current battery charge level, included estimated driving range. Choose your desired temperature settings before getting in the vehicle. Select when to stop, start, or how much to charge your vehicle.
VW Car-Net is available on most model year 2020 vehicles and the following 2014-2019 models: CC, EOS, Beetle (Convertible and Coupe), Jetta (SE with Connectivity, SEL, TDI, GLI, and Hybrid), Passat (SE, SEL Premium, including TDI and VR6), Tiguan (SEL, R-Line and Limited), Golf/GTI/R/SportWagen, e-Golf, Golf Alltrack, Atlas and Arteon.

They are transmitted to the display of the infotainment system via a wired connection and can be comfortably and clearly controlled within your line of vision. That makes it incredibly easy to access music, news, maps or audiobooks, for example. Volkswagen currently offers three interfaces for connecting with smartphones, with numerous options: Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™ by Google and MirrorLink®. The wireless connection option for the Discover Media, Discover Pro and Ready 2 Discover navigation systems makes the use of Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ by Google™ particularly convenient for We Connect-ready vehicles. To avoid distraction, only certified apps can be started during the journey.
