2026 Cadillac Lyriq V Review, Specs, Price

The 2026 Lyriq combines contemporary technology and design with vintage Cadillac comfort and luxury. It rides and handles well, is roomy and feature-rich, and is efficient. The Lyriq is not perfect, but you will probably be praising it. The Lyriq is a really enjoyable luxury SUV, and it performs a commendable job of promoting electric driving as an EV. affordable beginning price, peaceful when driving, and stylish interior design. Desirable infotainment and safety technology are standard on all models, and Cadillac's hands-free driving option, Super Cruise, is also accessible. According to the EPA, the most efficient Lyriq model has a driving range of up to 326 miles, which is class-competitive.

Cadillac added a performance-oriented Lyriq-V to the lineup this year, which boasts 615 horsepower and an estimated 60-mph time of 3.3 seconds. The company says that makes it the quickest Cadillac ever, and that estimate is a whole 0.2 second quicker than our best result for the CT5-V Blackwing. Not only does the Lyriq-V get more power than the standard all-wheel-drive model, it also comes with adaptive dampers, a lowered suspension, and a retuned steering rack. A launch-control feature and V driving mode are also on board to help quickly get the Lyriq-V into fighting shape for a streetlight drag race. The brakes have upgraded Brembo calipers, while unique 22-inch wheels and summer tires give the SUV a sportier stance. The driving range isn’t as generous here as it is on the standard model.

The Lyriq comes standard with a large, curved 33.0-inch digital dashboard display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charging pad, a fixed glass roof, 20-inch wheels, and faux leather upholstery.

The Lyriq was the first vehicle to use General Motors' scalable Ultium EV battery technology. With a capacity of 102.0 kWh, the Lyriq's battery can go up to 314 miles on a single charge for the single-motor model and 307 miles on a dual-motor model, according to EPA estimates. It is estimated that the Lyriq-V can travel 285 miles between charges. The base rear-wheel-drive, single-motor Lyriq drove 270 miles in our highway range test before needing to be recharged, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive model only drove 220 miles. This is a surprising shortfall considering their nearly comparable EPA ranges. All models come with DC fast-charging capability, and the Lyriq can also be charged using Level 2 chargers at home. According to EPA estimations, the rear-wheel-drive Lyriq can get 95 mpg in the city and 82 mpg on the highway. The government claims that the all-wheel drive variant has no impact on efficiency, with a city/highway rating of 96/81 MPGe.

Like the Escalade, the Lyriq's dashboard is dominated by a massive 33.0-inch curved advanced OLED touchscreen that doubles as the driver's gauge display and the SUV's infotainment system. For drivers who dislike touchscreens, the center console's click wheel can alternatively be used to control the infotainment system. Standard features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. All versions feature with a rich-sounding 19-speaker stereo system from AKG, the premium audio specialists. A luxurious interior design lends the Lyriq a high-end appeal. The center console and door panels have open-pore wood mixed with attractive metallic brightwork. 

A large storage tray on the floor between the driver and front passenger is lined with bright blue, which serves as a cheeky pop of color. Although the concept vehicle was shown with just four seats and a center console that divides the two front and two rear seats, with a touchscreen for the rear seat passengers, the production Lyriq has a traditional rear bench seat. The absence of a gasoline engine certainly helps create a quiet cabin, but the Lyriq also employs noise cancellation technology to reduce road noise further. The interior is spacious, but the cargo room isn't as generous as in other SUVs, and Cadillac hasn't integrated any storage under the hood. 

Cadillac equips the Lyriq with a number of driver-assistance features as standard, but the brand's Super Cruise hands-free driving system is a subscription service.
