The 2027 Ferrari Amalfi is an all-new front-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive 2+2 grand tourer that succeeds the Ferrari Roma, blending elegant styling with enhanced performance. It is a powerful yet versatile coupe designed for both everyday usability and high-performance driving. The Amalfi is powered by an upgraded version of Ferrari's twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine, which has been tweaked with new camshafts, revised turbochargers, and an ECU from the 296 GTB to be more powerful and responsive. The design philosophy emphasizes a minimalist, sculpted aesthetic that is both pure and sporty. Key aerodynamic features are subtly integrated into the bodywork. 

the Amalfi takes the reins as Ferrari's ultimate coastline cruiser, delivering a refined GT experience rather than ten-tenths performance. That isn't to say that the 2+2 coupe lacks raw speed. A front-mounted twin-turbo V-8 sends 631 Modenese mustangs sprinting through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and an active rear wing helps keep the rear wheels planted. Small back seats offer a hand-stitched resting place for weekend luggage, and a reasonably sized trunk provides uncommon practicality for a Ferrari. The Amalfi might not be as visceral as the 296GTB or even the 12Cilindri, but seductive looks and comfortable cruising trump performance on the coastal roads from Minori to Positano.

The price of the 2027 Ferrari Amalfi starts at $266,810. The Ferrari Amalfi's starting price makes it look like a bargain buy next to other Prancing Horse models such as the $470,000 12Cilindri or the nearly $600,000 SF90. That has been the case for most of the Amalfi's GT predecessors, which have often occupied an entry-level position in the lineup. A new Ferrari is a new Ferrari, though, and many Amalfis will likely be snatched up by loyal clientele before they have even left the factory.

The 2027 Ferrari Amalfi is a potent grand tourer, powered by an evolved twin-turbo V8 engine producing 631 horsepower and paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, capable of a 0-60 mph sprint in approximately 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph. The Amalfi features a revised version of Ferrari's F154-family 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, positioned as a front-mid-engine layout. This engine has been updated with lighter camshafts, revised turbochargers, and a new engine control unit (ECU) from the Ferrari 296 GTB, resulting in a more responsive and powerful unit. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via a quick-shifting 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). 

The updates to the engine bring a boost in power over its predecessor, the Roma, enhancing its acceleration and overall performance. Horsepower: The engine produces 631 hp at 7,500 rpm. Torque: It delivers 561 lb-ft of torque from 3,000 rpm. Acceleration (0-60 mph): Car and Driver estimates a 0-60 mph time of around 3.0 seconds, while Ferrari officially claims 3.3 seconds for 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h). Top Speed: The vehicle reaches an electronically limited top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). 

The performance is complemented by chassis and handling upgrades designed to provide a more engaging and controlled driving experience. Weight Distribution: The front-mid-engine layout helps achieve an optimal 50/50 front/rear weight distribution, which aids in nimble handling. Braking System: A new brake-by-wire system, shared with the 296 GTB, is included, which according to Ferrari, results in a 9% shorter stopping distance from 60 mph compared to the Roma. Suspension and Steering: The car uses new springs and magnetorheological dampers, along with a recalibrated electric power steering system that improves the speed of grip estimation for better road feedback and sharper handling. Active Aerodynamics: An active rear spoiler is integrated into the tail, which automatically adjusts to three positions (Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce) to manage airflow and enhance stability and downforce at high speeds. The EPA hasn't yet released fuel-economy ratings for the Amalfi, but we think it will offer similar numbers as the Roma. We estimate around 17 mpg city and 22 mpg on the highway.

The 2027 Ferrari Amalfi offers a luxurious and tech-forward cabin with a focus on driver engagement, enhanced comfort features, and practical cargo solutions designed for grand touring versatility. The interior of the Amalfi features a sophisticated dual-cockpit design, enveloping both the driver and front passenger in visually connected cells. A significant interior change is the return of physical buttons on the steering wheel, including the iconic engine start button, replacing the previous haptic controls in response to customer feedback. The cabin is appointed with a blend of premium materials, including supple leather, carbon-fiber trim, and a striking piece of milled anodized aluminum that runs along the center console. Available comfort features for the front seats include ventilation and a multi-chamber massage function, enhancing the grand touring experience. 

The infotainment system is centered around a new, lower-mounted 10.25-inch horizontal central touchscreen, which improves outward visibility and integrates key functions like climate and media controls. This joins a large 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver and an optional 8.8-inch passenger display that allows the co-driver to view performance data like G-forces and engine revs. For connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with Bluetooth and a wireless phone charging pad integrated into the central tunnel. An immersive 14-speaker Burmester sound system is available as an option, providing concert-grade audio. 

As a 2+2 coupe, the Amalfi features small rear seats that are best suited for children or for additional storage, enhancing the car's practicality. The trunk provides a cargo volume of approximately 10 cubic feet (272 to 273 liters), which is sufficient for a few carry-on suitcases or a decent amount of shopping. The rear seatbacks can be folded down to further increase cargo capacity for larger items.

While Ferrari has not definitively specified which ADAS features are standard or optional for all markets, a wide range of advanced systems are available: Adaptive Cruise Control: Automatically adjusts the car's speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. Automatic Emergency Braking / Forward Collision Warning: Scans the road ahead for potential collisions and can apply the brakes if the driver doesn't react in time.
