The 2026 Polestar 3 is an impressive and practical upscale electric SUV. It's also powerful and fun to drive. Aside from a relatively small cargo hold and a cumbersome infotainment rig, this crossover has few flaws. The Polestar 3 is a luxury crossover that will keep both your inner tree-hugger and inner corner-carver happy. Nimble handling, above-average range, thoughtful material use. The Polestar 3 is a gas-free compact crossover with shapely fenders, a minimalistic yet upscale interior, and admirable electric range. The rear-wheel-drive Single Motor variant can take you up to 350 miles on a charge, per the EPA, and even the 510-hp Performance variant is good for 279 miles (not to mention a sub-four-second sprint to 60). Polestar definitely favored form over function in places: Initiating and disengaging adaptive cruise control requires toggling the shifter various times, and there's far more metal than glass at the tail, which makes rearward visibility less than ideal. But overall, we like the design, and we applaud the Swedish automaker for being environmentally conscious about its upholstery options.
